The ultimate Eagles tribute band swoops into Eastbourne for one night only to celebrate the sound of an iconic band as The Illegal Eagles return to Congress Theatre, Eastbourne on Tuesday 29 June 2021.
Another outstanding concert is promised with more of their trademark musical prowess, acute attention to detail and incredible showmanship. The band have been presenting the iconic sound for 25 years this is sure to be a treat for all fans of the Eagles sound.
This critically acclaimed show features the very best from the Eagles’ catalogue of classics including; Hotel California, Desperado, Take It Easy, New Kid In Town, Life In The Fast Lane, Lyin’ Eyes, Tequila Sunrise, One of These Nights, Witchy Woman, Rocky Mountain Way and Heartache Tonight.
Long established as the World’s Official No.1 Eagles tribute, the latest all-star line-up of the show features Tony Kiley (formerly from 80’s sensation The Blow Monkeys) on drums, BAFTA Award winner Christian Phillips on vocals and guitars, Trevor Newnham (Dr Hook) vocals and bass, Greg Webb vocals and guitars, Mike Baker vocals and guitars and Garreth Hicklin vocals and guitars.
Gareth, Greg, Trevor, Mike and Christian effortlessly capture the vocal style and delivery of Henley, Walsh, Fry, Schmidt and Meisner and are masters of their respective instruments. The power-house rhythm section of Kiley and Newnham has added a dimension that is sensitive to the subtle needs of the Eagles’ songs and kicks hard where necessary.
The band recreates the distinctive sound of the Eagles with both flare and impressive authenticity which has won them mass acclaim on an international level. The original Eagles wrote and performed sophisticated narrative songs with intricate vocal harmonies, subtle chord structures, and catchy instrumental licks – this multi-talented six-piece band has been celebrated for nailing these tricky numbers perfectly.
